"Offices, desks, as far as the eye can see – a wonderful new world. And that’s where it’s happening, where it’s bubbling away – the artistic life. These people are artists. They create art, real art, the art of the 20th century, which will soon explode with all its power, which will definitely eliminate all isms..." – these are the words of the voice-over commentary at the beginning of this unconventional film. And on the screen, after a short introduction filled with office scenes, we see dozens of exhibits gathered – as the narrator informs us – at the annual biennial (sic!) devoted to office art. The film ends with the conclusion: "The high artistic level of the exhibits bodes well as the best hope for the further development of this spontaneous trend in contemporary art."
